The project is created to help Muslims around the world to improve their reading of the Quran. We facilitate this by counting the number of words that you read. We also do not serve you ads, so we do not need to track you or use your personal data to provide you with better ads to increase our revenues. We don’t gather any personally identifiable information. There is an in app login for users to keep track of their good deeds, there is also no request for location permissions (except optionally on the home page for the purposes of computing more accurate Salah timings).
We do use Google Analytics for ensuring that the site continues to work as expected and for knowing which features to prioritize working on. This information is anonymous and we can’t trace it back to any particular individual.
Application Registers and Visitors:
MAKNOON collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. MAKNOON's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how MAKNOON's visitors use its Application.
MAKNOON also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on http://www.maqnoon.com blog posts. MAKNOON only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.
